If you asked your average millennial about the events that transpired back in 1991, many would have no idea of the existence and subsequent demise of what was known as the USSR.
History tends to repeat itself and the circumstances that led to the revolution in 1991 are an eerie reminder of what could be in store for the Unites States.
Much like the USA, the USSR had been going through deep economic and political issues and the rumblings of the masses were starting to make their voices heard.
Much like the USSR, the US could pass the same point of no return.
It wasn’t long after Gorbachev’s glasnost and perestroika initiatives that the USSR would yield and collapse into 15 separate countries thus ending the empire.
As goes the USSR, so goes the USA and both histories will seem interchangeable.
Here are just some of the events that may appear in the years 2016 to 2020:
The people felt disenfranchised by the current economical and political system.
They revolted by electing a real estate magnet and reality TV star named Donald Trump.
The economic situation did not improve after his election, it got worse.

The markets began a dramatic downfall which led to the crash of 2017.

North Carolina declares it’s cessation from the union.
Years of instability ensue as the world’s greatest depression continues.
Wars are waged all over the globe.
